'A Right Royal Buzz' Exhibition

Alex has wide experience of working as a multi-disciplined artist, with science and history as particular focuses.

Alex Hirtzel has been appointed Artist in Residence for St James’s Park, the Mall and National Galleries.

This first ever joint project is culminating in an exhibition across the three venues called “A right royal buzz.”
Alex’s art work will be exhibited in Duck Island Cottage in St James’s Park on the theme of bees and pollinators having worked with plant scientists.

About the exhibition

Members of the public are being invited to take part in a community arts project to be exhibited  in St James’s Park, The National Gallery and Mall Galleries.

Visitors will be taken on a journey of discovery as they move between the three venues for the nature exhibition during  February 2016.

The project, a unique partnership between The Royal Parks, National Gallery and Mall Galleries allows participants to explore the importance of pollination and the unique way that bees see flowers, and discover how they can play a part in welcoming bees and other pollinators into their own gardens, balconies and window boxes.
